Noah has worked in private practice as a chiropractor and therapist for 7 years specialising in yoga related injuries and rehabilitation. He runs teacher training and professional development programs for yoga teachers and appears as a guest teacher TTC courses. His greatest achievement is in assisting yogisthe healing potential of asana.

The work I enjoy most is to assist Yogis to understand their own bodies and minds and help them to make the most of their own practice and avoid the pitfalls. Simple changes in techniques can resolve many issues and then setting priorities about what to practice, how to practice it, how to progress the practice and especially what not to practice. I consider all yoga to be therapy and teach yoga regularly to help alleviate stress related conditions and postural anomalies. Many of the recurring injuries from Yoga practice can be alleviated by simple modifications that pay attention to alignment. Compression and over stretching in particular poses leads to soft tissue injuries, by finding supportive alignment many of these pitfalls are avoided and healing occurs. Many times pre- existing soft tissue injury makes many Yoga postures inappropriate and modification is required to get the desired effect without the downsides.in workshops and individually. Also he specialises as a therapist for consultation on yoga injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Philosophy : Noah Mckenna trained as a chiropractor and went on to study a diverse range of associated modalities such as activator and applied kinesiology and a host of soft tissue techniques. Further interest lead him to China where he learned acupuncture from real Chinese Masters. My experience in clinical practice is that any empirical system is very limited in its efficacy and really these interventions are only useful for acute conditions. Health I believe is mostly about maintainance and partly about avoiding trauma. All the mumbojumbo BS is good for one thing and that is to make money from the naive, gullible or worse from the desperate. My philosophy on healing is simple treat physical things physically, emotional things psychologically, mental things cognitively, physiological things through lifestyle changes, spiritual things by definition dont need treatment leave that to god. Peace of mind, nutritious food and exercise are the best medicines.

Adjunctive Treatment: After examining the posture and symmetry of the patient and getting familiar with the problem I will endeavur to look for causal patterns of excessive tension and muscular insufficiency. Then I can prescribe my opinion of which modalities will be most effective in healing. Different bodies respond to different types of therapy therefore I give my personal recommendation for spinal adjustments or soft tissue releases.

CHIROPRACTIC: The spine forms the central core of our physical being. This structure houses the nervous system. Posture and motion are defined by spinal alignment and movement. Chiropractic therapy locates dysfunction in spinal movement and establishes normal range of motion.

YOGA THERAPY: The needs of each individual are unique to that person. Yoga Therapy is the specific matching of yoga practice to an individuals needs. The power of yoga is that it is an experiental modality. The changes occur from within and retraining occurs at the deepest level in the nervous system.

ACUPUNCTURE: The ancient art of Acupuncture developed by the chinese allows for a deep and profound way to afect deep muscle tension and connective tissue contraction.

BODY MAPPING: The structure of the human body presents a riddle to the eye, we expect that things are organised symmetrically but the truth is often far from the case. Understanding the patterns of distortion and identifying the source can revolutionise the way we approach movement systems like yoga.

PRIVATE LESSONS: Noah is a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Trainer at the highest level. He can instill the most basic fundamentals for beginners and help teachers to target their weaknesses and reach to new heights. Noah Mckenna M. Sc. Chiro
